First of all, what is a BLOG?
A blog is a website where entries are written in chronological order and usually displayed in reverse chronological order. The term “blog” is a shortened version of the words Web Log. Blogs provide news, commentary, instructions and other useful information on a particular subject such as a specifici business, an organization, specific topics and a wide variety of other things. Some blogs function as mere personal online diaries or journals. The page you are now viewing is a blog.
A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is a feature of blogs. Blogs are considered social media based on the commentary made on various articles.
A blog can actually take the place of a traditional web site and can be updated by anyone given access to it using only their browser to upload images and enter text. Many businesses use blogs to give important information on things such as new product or services announcements, sales, special offers and so on. Anyone who has the need to update their site on a regular or periodic basis should strongly consider using a web log for their online media or as a supplement to their traditional web site. In addition, blogs can be customized where items can acutally be sold on them.
Full Wave offers installation, configuration and customization of blogs.
Please contact Full Wave Design concerning more information or you possible interest in this useful online media option.

Use Google’s “site:” search syntax to search for specific things from social sites.
EXAMPLE Google Search Box Terms:Â
site:del.icio.us free clip art  (click for example in new window)
This will get results from del.icio.us (via Google) that people have taken the time to bookmark. This generally means (at least for the time being) that the sites will have some good content and not just a “bait and switch” link that tends to waste a tremendous amount of your time.
Here is a list of a few big social bookmarking/media sites to search:
- site:digg.com
- site:del.icio.us
- site:slashdot.com
- site:reddit.com
- site:stumbleupon.com
- site:netscape.com
- site:clipmarks.com

Glossy buttons, ornamental backgrounds, futuristic interfaces. We
’ve all been guilty at one time or another of committing the 7 design-isms in this article from Larissa Meek. But that’s okay, she tells us, they’re classics for a reason.

del.icio.us
If you haven’t tuned into del.icio.us (arcane url that it is), then you are missing out. Not only is it a great way to bookmark your trailblazing on the net, it has some great popular bookmarks that others have recorded. It takes out a lot of the “salesy-ness” of the major search engines and allows you to get to the meat of what you are looking for. Some of the hot buttons at this time are CSS, GTD, PigPog, Web2.0ness, Life Hacks, tons of D.I.Y. links. The most bookmarked (popular) ones come to the top. Like a DVR and TV, your web experience will change dramatically.
There are a variety of ways to search del.icio.us:
To view bookmarks tagged with a specific keyword, type in:
http://del.icio.us/tag/keyword
To view bookmarks tagged with two or more keywords, type in:
http://del.icio.us/tag/keyword+keyword
If you are looking for the most popular sites in any category, than simply type in:
http://del.icio.us/rss/popular/TAGNAME
So if you are trying to find the most popular sites related to GTD, you would type in:
http://del.icio.us/rss/popular/GTD
Tune it to de.licio.us…Â

Five starting thoughts:

· “Today, I am grateful for…”
· “Right now, I am feeling…”
· “One way to lighten my life would be to…”
· “Three things I know to be true are…”
· “I have faith that…”
· “My life is lacking…”
Journaling ideas if you ever get stuck on a blank page:

· Start with a quote that provokes thought
· Write about an image you saw — artwork, a photograph, a gesture observed
· Write about your feelings on a certain event, idea or person
· Include newspaper clippings and photos
· Write about a change in your life and how you dealt with it
· List five ways that an experience affected you positively
If you had five different lives to live, what would they be? An artist, a doctor, a teacher, a photojournalist? No holding back! What does your dream life look like? Collect photos or anything that has to with your dream and put them in your journal. Visualizing your dreams is an effective tool for making it happen!
Make your goals and dreams happen:

· What decisions have brought you to where you are today?
· Where do you want to go from here?
· The hardest decision?
· The biggest breakthrough?
· The biggest challenge?
· What do these experiences teach you about yourself?
